Okay I have 3 questions actually. The first is under the persumption thst your american. Are The Strokes as popular in the US as they are here? The second is are bands that are currently very big here even known in america, in particular Kasabian, Bloc Party, Razorlight, The Streets, The Coral, The Libertines, The Automatics and Muse. The third is if you have any recomandations of modern american bands because the only artists to come out of america that ive liked in the last few years are Gran Bel Fisher and the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs!

I am Canadian, so I'll help out with what I can.  I'll answer them from a Canada-view.

Are The Strokes as popular in the US as they are here? The Strokes get a lot of airplay here in Canada.

The second is are bands that are currently very big here even known in america, in particular Kasabian, Bloc Party, Razorlight, The Streets, The Coral, The Libertines, The Automatics and Muse?  Kasabian - yes,.Bloc Party - yes, Razorlight/The Streets/The Coral/The Libertines/The Automatics - no, Muse - yes.

The third is if you have any recomandations of modern american bands because the only artists to come out of america that ive liked in the last few years are Gran Bel Fisher and the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs! - To best try stuff out, go to billboard.com, or other top hits sites for the states.  www.launch.com is a good site and hosts a wack of Canadian and American bands for you to check out.
