Experience
Past/Present clients I have coordinated Alzheimer's Clinical drug trials since 1987. I have coordinated the Memory Disorders Clinic since it's inception 1994. I also have personnal experience from caring for my mother who died of AD 5/2000 and presently from caring for my mother in law who was diagnosed in March 2000.
Question I wrote to about daycare 1/29/08 . I started taking him as you suggested and now after several weeks he looks forward to going and has been going 3 times a week. He even asks on the weekends to go. They are not there on weekends so Friday to Monday seems like a long time to him. I think he would go everyday if I took him. He refers to the people that run it as the people he works with. There is not really a question here ,just want to thank you for your previous advice.
Answer Dear Sandra, Thanks for writing to let me know! It is always a nice thing to hear that there was a positive result from my advice! :-)
I am so pleased that it worked out for you. I wish everyone I tell this to would follow through like you did. Sometimes we make life so much more difficult for ourselves than we need to. We should always take advantage of the help that is available.
My thoughts are with you as you continue this journey. Please feel free to write again anytime! Paula
