Question
Hello,
I am a 49 year old indiviual. I am on disability for OCD. My question is this...I would like to make an advance directive,is there anything I need to know? I live in Las Vegas Nevada. I assume if I get one...I would give it to my doc and family members? Any sugestions or help would be appreciated. Regards-Skyler

Answer
Hello Skyler,

I am not that versed on Nevada advanced directive and living will laws.   You may want to search on the internet about details; however, i always do suggest you go to a lawyer to do any of these important documents as they are then filed with the courthouse and if any of your copies go missing, anyone contests your wishes, etc. you've established a legal contract.

Your local bar association or courthouse can put you in touch with help.

Once you have your document, yes, always provide your family and your doctors with a current copy of your advance directives.

Thanks for writing.
