Question
My 85 year old mother has Alzheimer's and she complains about  hurting all over. Is this the disease or just age?

Answer
Hi Vicki,

No, it is not uncommon for an Alzheimer's individual to complain of pain.  This is a physical, deteroriation of the brain and yes, i believe in some cases, true experiences of pain.

I would strongly recommend consulting your mother's physician to see what pain medications can make her more comfortable.
