Question
can hospice be called in during the next to last stage if the person still can walk,
and swallow, but nothing else. my husband has been totally dependent on care
for last 2 years, and has no quality of life at all.

Answer
Hello Carol,

Thank you for writing.  Yes, hospice most certainly can be "called in" at this time with your husband's diagnoses of Lewy Body disease.  I would strongly urge you to use that resource as i believe you will find thier benefits wonderful for your husband AND yourself.

Best Regards,
