Question
Hi Paula, my name is Melinda. I am a student at the University of Phoenix doing a speech on the relation of deodorant and Alzheimers. I am wondering if you could give me any information that might relate to my speech. Any information you give me will be cited in the speech as information you gave me, I will not be plaguerizing anything you tell me.

Any information you can offer, websites, contacts, would be very beneficial! Thank you.

Melinda, New Mexico

Answer
Hi Melinda, You could look for further information on the Alzheimer's website, but what I can tell you is that there is no link.

A few years ago there was a study released (by the press: you gotta love those press releases!) that said that there was a link with aluminum and AD.  This study was a study which reaserched a group of people looking for environmental sources.  What the press failed to report was the identical study that was done with the same amount of people using the same parameters, which showed that there was no link to aluminum.  It was just that the study that said there was a link, that area had a high level of aluminum in there soils.  The press got ahold of the aluminum study and a news report was made!

Hope that answers your question.  I don't have the sites to give you to verify this but you could probably get this from the AD website.  Good luck Paula
