QuestionI have been thinking about working as a cam model. First, I am wondering what you think about this -- Is it a good idea? Do girls really make very much money doing this, or at least enough money to make it worthwhile? Where is the best place to work as a cam model? What cam company do you think is best?

I think it is a GREAT idea that you are considering work as a cam model. I do recommend that you give it a try. Adult cam modelling is a great money maker for many girls and guys. Like any business - and it IS a business - some models do really well, some do okay, and others don't do well at all. Being "hot" is not a requirement - and no potential model should ever decide not to pursue this type of modelling work because she/he doesn't think of themself as "hot". Because, I can tell you from experience that there are many VERY hot girls and guys who have been a complete failure at cam modelling ... and the reason is because your personality and ability to interact/perform for your viewers is a much more important factor. You need to be personable, you should have a good sense of humour, you cannot be easily upset/offended by people asking anything - stupid questions, or as does happen, you will be asked rude questions or people will make rude comments to you, and you have to be mature enough to just let that go and move on.
The money making potential is considerable. Some models make thousands of dollars each month, and cam modelling is their primary or only job -- they make enough money that they don't need to work outside of the home. Some, for various reasons (including how many hours they are avail/willing to work) make much less money. How much you make depends, in large part, on you: How many hours you work, how well your interact with viewers, how good of a model/performer you are (which plays a big role in determine how many regular/repeat viewers you will get). There really is a spot for any type of model - any age, any physical description, any background, any sexuality. You can model alone, or as a couple or group (all persons appearing on cam must register as a model). You may have the time to be on cam for several hours each day, and that is great. Or, you might only put the cam on a couple of hours once or twice/week. That is also ok. You should try to have a set schedule when you will be online, so that people know when to find you there.
Good luck to you. :-)
