Question Hi, i'm only 14 and i have already had sex. Now I think that my partner might have AID's and i love him to death but I don't want to end up with AID's. We always practice safe sex no matter what. What should I do? I don't want to break up with him or stop having sex. Help me!!!
Answer Thanks for your question Becky. I think 14 is too young to be having sex. Your partner could go to jail for having sex with you, even if you consent to it. It's called statutory rape. And I urge you to stop this behavior before you get pregnant, get AIDS, or get pregnant and pass the AIDS virus along to your baby. Do you want that?! Because it will eventually happen. You can only dance between the raindrops for so long before you get get. You say you love him to death, that's what may happen. If he is older, he should be the one to stop having sex with you if he loves you back. Good luck. Here is another letter I received a while back and my response. I copied and pasted it here for you too read:

Hi Justin,I am Martina,am 19,I want to know that can Oral sex cause
AIDS,I had Oral sex with a man and later I found that he was HIV
infected,I swallowed his sperm. Can it cause AIDS to me.
Answer -
Thanks for your question. First of all, I am not a doctor. But from
what I understand; yes, you can get infected with HIV by swallowing his cum.
I would get to your doctor as soon as possible. He can probably get you
the results sooner than if you went to a clinic. Most communities have
free and anonymous clinics. So look in your phone book for state, county,
or city listings. (That's if you are in the USA, I'm not sure about other
countries health care practices.) Even if you are HIV-, you should be
tested again in 6 months and again in 12 months. Because it sometimes
takes that long for the virus to manifest and be detected. In the
meantime, I would abstain from sex. If you need some sort of sexual
gratification then try masturbating or you and your partner could watch
each other masturbate. I find this to be quite arousing. Just don't
get near his cum. Or try phone sex. This is the safe sex of the new
millinium and I do it often. And in the future always practice safe
sex. But even having safe sex and using different types of barriers, they
can rupture subjecting you to exposure to diseases. I know that sometimes
men don't want a blowjob wearing a condom, but it's for your own good and
his. Try to find a partner who is willing to be tested for STD's and become
monogamous with that person. And if you are both HIV-, then you can
have unprotected sex; but you are still taking a chance becoming pregnant.
I had a scare myself about 5 years ago. I performed oral sex on a female
who had many, many partners. I was tested over and over. I am now
confident I am HIV- but I know the thoughts that go through your mind
while waiting for the results. Mine took 2 weeks to get the results!
That's a long time! But the good news is that even if you are detected
as HIV+, you were detected early and modern medicines can help you live a
long and normal life. And they can dispense medicines that prevent HIV
from becoming full blown AIDS. Please understand that I am not a
doctor and this is only information that I have saw on TV or read about. You
will get better advice from a doctor. I hope this information helps
and I'm sure you can find more information on the web, at your library, or
HIV/AIDS support groups in your area. If you need someone to chat
with, let me know. Good luck to you. Bye bye.
