Question
my 1984 cj7 (4 cyl) will not start, I know that I got the connector from the distributor pigtail to the harness wet and the connector housing was cracked.  Do you think that I may have shorted someting out.

Answer
Do you have spark? If not, remove the distributor cap and make sure everything is dry and clean. I don't know what connector housing you are refering to, but if you are talking about the distributor cap, replace it.
If you do have spark, reply and we'll go from there.
