Question
hi i have a 1970 amc hornet. i have a problem with the gauges. the only one that works is my speedometer. the lights for the gauges came on once since i have had the car. do i need to replace the gauges? or is it the fuse or connection?

Answer
Chances are, the CVR (Constant Voltage Regulator) is bad. It's located on the back of the instrument cluster, that's where the gauages are located. Find an AMC parts vendor online. You should be able to find a CVR there. It's very small and is easy to replace.
