Question
I have a slight knocking noise when the engine is at idle but disappears when engine revs higher, have been told it's a crack in the flexplate/flywheel, if so which is the right flexplate/flywheel for me and where can i get one.
Many thanks

Answer
I no longer have an interchange manual, but if I remember correctly, the 360 flex plate from 71 on AMC cars are the same. Check with your local salvage yard. They will have an interchange manual that will confirm or deny what I said.
Or you might find one at Collier AMC in Pikeville, NC. Their number is 919-242-4462. Ask for Mr. Collier. He is an old AMC dealer and has lotsa parts, new & used.
