ok, i just put my car on the road first time sence it was rebilt and drove to town. i got back tuned it off and it started right back. i let it sit for an hour went back and tried to start it again and it did not start right away i took it down the road again came back killed it and tried to start it again but all it would is turn over so then i checked to see if i was giting fire to the coil and i wasent so i ran a wire frome the hot post on the battery to the hot wire onthe coil and it started so what could be the problem

Answer
Check your primary wiring. That's the wiring running from the solenoid to the ignition switch, to the coil.
Use a Voltmeter and measure the Voltage at the (+) side of the coil with the key on. It should read 10 Volts or more. If not, follow the wiring back to determine where the problem is.
You should also make sure the ignition dwell is at 30 degrees and the coil tests OK.
