American Motors/2007 Ford Focus Coolant

Question
The coolant appears low.  Manual says to add 50/50 mixture of coolant and distilled water.  Also recommends Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant.  If I buy this product, is it already a 50/50 mixture or do I have to mix it myself?

Thank you, Linda

Answer
There is two ways of doing it.
1) Buy a gallon of QUALITY coolant/antifreeze. Mix it 50/50 with distilled water and add to overflow reservoir.
2) Buy a gallon of pre-mixed coolant/antifreeze. Pour it directly into the reservoir.
In reality, most technicians just add pure coolant to the reservoir without mixing it.
If your vehicle is 2+ years old, you should consider having the coolant changed.
