Question
I have a 69 rambler and want to put disc brakes on it.I use it for drag racing and street driving. What will fit on this car?

Answer
Mark,
Actually, front drum brakes are better than disc for drag racing. On a disc brake system, the pads are often contacting the rotor, even with the brakes released. This creates drag and uses more horsepower. Drum brakes can be adjusted so there is no shoe to drum contact, thus no drag.
If you do want to install disc brakes on the front, you have to find a setup from a 1969 or earlier AMC. i.e. Ambassador, Marlin or AMX. They changed the design of the front suspension, brakes, & some steering components in 1970.
