Question
I have a 73 AMX and found the build sheet under the carpet.  It has lots of codes on it and many have x's or other letters in the boxes.  I am trying to find out what these codes refered to and any help would be greatly appreciated..  The Code letters and entries in the boxes below them are:  VR is blank, Trans has a 3S, TG is blank, WE has a 0, PD has a 2, SG has a 1,PW is blank, TAC is blank, ASC is blank, ASW has an X, APG has XBK, OM has CR, TM is blank, VM has X, LG is blank, EW is blank, WW is blank, TRIM is 41W, SEAT is B, HR is blank, FC is blank, SB is blank, CLK is T, RAD is 3, RS is 2, MET is 4,HDC is blank,TTH is blank, ARR is blank, TRL is blank, TAS is S, RAR is blank, FDL is blank, TCL is blank, BOX 2 is blank, HT is blank, BOX 1 is INC, SPEC. is PG, CAN is 3, OPS is R.

I have not seen a build sheet since 1979. I do not have the codes. However, pleae look at this websight: http://www.skidmore.edu/~pdwyer/amc/stonelist.htm
Someone here should have the information you are looking for. They deal with AMC's on a daily basis and might be able do decipher your sheet. Hope this helps.

I can answer many technical questions relating to AMC vehicles prior to 1979. I also have experience with Rambler & Nash vehicles.

Experience

I am a former AMC technician, service writer and service manager. I have worked in AMC dealers in Illinois in the 70's. After college, I was a Field Service Rep for American Motors Sales Corporation, working out of the Chicago Zone office. I traveled to AMC dealers assisting in the diagnosis and repair of AMC vehicles. I was also the Area Training Manager for DeLorean Motor Company. I have 10+ years as an Automotive Instructor. I have modified and restored
numerous AMC vehicles. I have been working on AMC vehicles for over 30 years.

Organizations
I have been an ASE Certified Master Technician since 1975. This includes L1. I am also currently a Toyota Certified Master Diagnostic Technician.

Publications
I have articles in "American Motoring", the official publication of the American Motors Owners Association. They are the largest AMC club in the world.

Education/Credentials
I have a certificate I printed out from a website.
