Question
Hello, My wife has a 73 Javelin with a 304 V-8 and power drum brakes.  I am trying to find the parts to convert tofront disc but it is taking time to find them affordable.  In the mean time her brakes are scareing her.  The pedal seems hard, and the pedal is only about 1 inch from the floor when pressed.  The brake pads, etc. are fine also had a newer master cylinder last year.  Any help is appreciated.

Answer
If your pedal is hard but only an inch away from the floor, it might be time for new brakes. I suggest inspecting them and replacing them if worn. Also, the self adjusters should be cleaned and properly lubricated.
You should be able to swap over to disc brakes from another 70-74 Javelin/AMX.
