Answer
The engine used in the DeLorean is known as the PRV. It is manufactured by Renault, but is also used by Peugeot and Volvo. The Eagle Premier is actually a Renault. It has an engine from the same family, but I do not know if it is EXACTLY the same. There might be differences in motor mounts, accessory mounting (alternator, A/C, Power steering, etc) and bolt pattern for the transmission. I would suggest trying to locate an engine from a DeLorean on the internet. Try DeLorean clubs, E Bay, Hemmings, etc. You could also visit a local Volvo dealer and talk to a technician, you might find one familiar with the V-6 engine as also used in their 760 models. I worked for DeLorean Motor Company in the early 80's and actually lived in Belfast Northern Ireland for a bit. Good luck.
