Question
I wanted to put one piece forged axles in my 72 javelin. Is this a good idea? Will
axles from a wide track jeep fit, are they the same measurements?

Thanks

Answer
Find an aftermarket axle specialty company. i.e. Strange.
Jeep axles are no stronger that car axles. You can modify your axle and hub to handle some pretty good power. Take your axles to a machine shop and have them enlarge the keyway to 1/4" and have a second one cut 180 degrees apart. You can also run a weld bead around the axle tubes where they enter the carrier housing and weld a 1/4" strap around the top of the spring pad for reinforcement.
