Question
Having trouble getting the old gaskets off the intake any tips on removing them I would appreciate it very much thanks.

Stan,
Providing you have a cast iron manifold, there are a couple things you can try.
1) A rotory wire brush on a 1/2" drill, not one of the high speed ones, though. Wear safety glasses.
2) Bring the manifold to a machine shop so they can boil it. They can clean it in a hot tank with a cleaner/chemical. Often, that will either remove the gasket or make it possible to use a gasket scraper.
If you have an aluminum manifold, be careful not to grind away the surface.
