Amiga Problems/amiga 500 audio

Question
I'm not especially good with computers, my amiga 500 wasn't playing audio correctly, like it left some parts of the sound out, only the high parts were left.
i thought it was the disks i was using but all had the same problem i thought it was the monitor so i connected it to the TV and the same happened and i even used another amiga 500 and the same thing happened, cutting out some sound in the same way.
the only other thing i can think of it the cables but apparently its not them..
what could the problem be?

Answer
Hi Lucy,

To be honest, I'm not sure what the source of the problem would be--and I say that because as you've described, you've tried swapping out the different (major) possible causes. However, if the cables are the only thing you haven't tried swapping yet, I would definitely try that next--in my mind, it's the only thing that makes sense as to what might be causing some audio to cut out on you.

I hope this helps,

Greg

I certainly don't know everything about the Amiga, but having been a user of several different models for about fifteen years, I'm willing to share what I know.
