Amiga Problems/TOASTER FLYER BLOCK #

Question
Hi Greg,
Thank you for the opportunity to ask my question.
I have an Amiga Toaster Flyer 4000T purchased in 1999.  I have never had any probems with it.
A error message comes up on the workbench screen when booted up. It reads:  SYSTEM REQUEST
                     ERROR VALIDATING
                     TOASTER FLYER
                     BLOCK 133725
                     USED TWICE
                     RETRY     CANCEL

Could you please advise what is happening and hopefully how to fix it.

Thank you for your time and expertise. It is greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Janna,

It sounds like you have one or more bad blocks on your Toaster's hard drive. I would suggest downloading and checking it with DiskSalv (freeware) available at the link below:

http://aminet.net/package/disk/salv/DiskSalv11_32

This should be able to identify and correct (or mark as unusable) the bad block(s) and clear the error.

I hope this helps!

Greg

I certainly don't know everything about the Amiga, but having been a user of several different models for about fifteen years, I'm willing to share what I know.
