Question
Hi!
I'm an Amiga 500 Lover and i have bought an Amiga 500+ with 20mb External SupraDrive 500xp and 2mb of Ram.

On the hd, there is a copy of Workbenck 3.1 that is not right for my version of kickstart, i should use 2.4 or something else.

How can i install a new verison of Wb on the Supra external drive?

Regards
Loris

Answer
Hi Loris,

If I remember correctly, you'll need Workbench 2.1 to be installed on your Amiga 500. If you have the complete set of Workbench 2.1 disks (including the "Install 2.1" disk), it should just be a matter of booting up with the Install 2.1 disk in your disk drive. The install process should recognize your external SupraDrive, and give you the option of installing Workbench 2.1 to it (it may reformat the hard drive in the process, since I believe it uses a different version of the FastFileSystem).

I hope this helps!

I certainly don't know everything about the Amiga, but having been a user of several different models for about fifteen years, I'm willing to share what I know.
