I recently purchased a second hand Amiga A600 which worked fine for a while. However it now crashes when playing games or using Workbench - the screen colours change and the disk tries to read on Workbench, or games lock up with multicoloured or black screens, again with the disk trying to read. Can you suggest a reason for this?

Hi Jonathan,

If the crashes happen only while reading the floppy disk drive, I would suggest looking for a replacement (Software Hut - www.softhut.com), AmigaKit (www.amigakit.com), or ebay (www.ebay.com). However, is there a particular screen color that appears after the crash that seems to appear most?
