Question
Hi,

I just got an Amiga A600, I have plugged power in and the green light comes on the system. When I try to connect it to the tv i get nothing! my tv says "no signal" I've tried both scart and RF through its built in modulator, but no picture. Ive tried on both an old crt tv and my lcd tv.
Can you help me please?

thanks. Jamie.

Answer
Hi Jamie,

Does your Amiga 600 boot if you put a Workbench disk in it? If it does, and it seems to be working fine, the only thing I can think of is perhaps the wrong channel on the TV may be set, or it's a fault in the Amiga RF modulator. I'm not sure how newer TVs work (or don't work) with the Amiga, but I would think they should, providing they support the composite output of the RF modulator. I haven't had a lot of experience in this area, so someone from UseNet's comp.sys.amiga.misc and comp.sys.amiga.hardware newsgroups might offer more help:

I hope this helps!

I certainly don't know everything about the Amiga, but having been a user of several different models for about fifteen years, I'm willing to share what I know.
