Question
Hello,
I have been able to connect an Amiga under OS3.1 with a PC Win98 using Siamese 2.5+IOblixethernet but not with the OS3.5 nor OS3.9.The connection with OS3.5 lasts about one minute then freezes. Can anyone help or has been using successfully such a setup?
Thank you for your answer
Sincerely
Francois Boder

Answer
Hi Francois,

If I recall correctly, the Siamese was released before either
OS 3.5 or 3.9 came out. I would suspect the Siamese has never
been fully tested under either of these OS upgrades, and would
recommend contacting the manufacturer for compatibility information
or potential problems.

Granted, I don't know if the Siamese manufacturers are still
in business, but this is where I would start. There were substantial
changes to both OS upgrades, and a system like Siamese which
relies heavily on the OS could very easily fail to work.

The only other thing I could think of besides this would be
to make sure you're using the latest version of the IOBlix
driver software (again, check with the IOBlix manufacturer).

I hope this helps; but if you're still unable to get it to work,
contact me again, and I will post a message on UseNet asking if
anyone is using the Siamese system under OS 3.5 or 3.9.

Gregory Donner
