Amiga Problems/Sparse strange screen artifacts.

Question
Hi,
I have a quite old Amiga 600 that I connect it via scart to my LCD TV.
Sometimes 4 or 5 lines with blinking square blocks appear at the top of the screen overlaying the 1/5th of it while the rest continue to work without any problem (e.g. the game and sound continues as if there was no problem).
I get no strange colors during boot.
Is there something broken on my Amiga?

Answer
Hi Nikolaos,

If only the first fifth of the screen has problems, I would suspect perhaps either the scart or the LCD TV. That being said, I have no experience or technical expertise with either scarts or LCD TVs, and I have no idea how they should (or may not be able) to interact with Amiga technology which is now about 14 years old(!). :( You could try posting on the following newsgroup to see if any Amiga users there have had experience with this kind of hookup:

I hope this helps!

I certainly don't know everything about the Amiga, but having been a user of several different models for about fifteen years, I'm willing to share what I know.
