Question - Hi Mr. Donner,
I,ve been working with my Amiga system for the purpose of scrolling  the message in the tv channel, making logoes of the channel, using animated  background and designs for the musical programmes advertisement.Since i've been working  in cablenet.so JONA PHOTO is the programme which is something to do the above mentioned designing works. As i think that the software is made or modified by the Indians coz we bought our system from JONA PHOTO,New Delhi, India and one thing that is troublesome is that the distributers has          not provided us with the user manual & any application disk that we've been using so that we may go to their office if any problems arises. They even have not given any distributers in our country. So that is the main problem we are facing.
May be you've got the idea about the what JONA PHOTO is so could u suggest me any downloads simmilar to it?Can i copy the programme Jona photo from one of my collegue's system in any disk and download it to my system. If yes  then pls help me with the process.
You are the only one who can make me out of this problem.
Hope to hear soon from u
Thanking you
Amol

Hi Mr. Donner,
First of all i was really amazed of your quick response. It was really a greatful help.ok sir as per your suggestion i've formatted my hard drive DH1.
Now there are no any errors on the system. The big problem i am facing right now is to reinstall Jona Photo on a reformated harddrive[DH1]. We don't have backup floppies to install Jona Photo. How do i solve this problem. Can i download Jona Photo for free or do i have to buy a new one? If there are some links, then is it possible to download the file into PC and transfer it to Amiga ? We have few application floppies, can we use those floppies to copy the files from PC to Amiga ? Last time the floppy formated in the Amiga System would not open in PC. Got an error msg "Would you like to format the floppy ?".

I am from  Nepal, unfortunately, we don't have any Amiga distributors here.
We purchased the system from India, back in 1995.Hope to hear from you soon. Actually me and Abishek are working for the same system, Amiga, and we would like to express our appreciation for your great support.Thankyou.

Amol & Abishek.

Hi Amol,

I'm very confused; were you trying to copy a photo residing on a floppy to your hard drive, but the hard drive is now invalid (as shown by the DH1:? icon?) If so, you need to reformat your DH1: hard drive before you can use it again.

Application disks can most certainly be read and viewed by the Amiga OS; if they can't, they may be a game disk (such as Pinball Mania), and these cannot typically be opened via Workbench because they use a proprietary boot sector. Game disks are designed to be used *only* when booted after a reset of your Amiga. If the disk is NOT a game disk, and still has errors, the floppy disk itself is corrupted with errors, or your floppy drive is bad.

I hope this helps,

Greg

Hi Amol,

I am not at all familiar with "Jona Photo", and I need to know what it is and where you got it from before I can help you any further with that.

If you're trying to copy files from a PC to Amiga (or vice-versa) you need to format a low-density diskette as a PC disk (720K capacity when formatted as a PC disk) on your Amiga--your Amiga user manual will tell you how to do this.

Remember that you cannot *convert* data from a PC to Amiga format--only transport it via floppy disk.

I hope this helps!

Amol,

You know more about Jona Photo than I do, so I'm afraid I cannot help you any further on this issue.

Greg

Answer
Amol,

If I do not know what Jona Photo is, where it came from, or how it is used, how can I help you? You must understand that I need more information before I can answer your questions, and I do not have that information to help you any further.
