Question
Hi, I have 3 Red eared slider turtles in a 175 gallon tank. I have one male and two female. My females (not sure which one, or both) are laying eggs. I was wondering if there was any way to tell which female laid the eggs and how can I tell if the eggs are fertile.

Nic

Answer
There is no way to tell witch female is laying the eggs unless you see her. And yes there is a way to tell if they are fertile after about 2 weeks hold the eggs up without flipping them and hold a light behind them. If you see a black blob or spot otherwise it is not.
