Question
I've just brought some golden bell tadpoles for my 5 year old and i've just read that when they turn into frogs they secrete a noxious substance when irritated does this mean they are posionous and can't be held? can you hold them wearing rubber gloves?
thanks for your time

Answer
Their secretions are mildly poisonous...but just enough to cause skin irritations. I would recommend wearing gloves just to avoid the whole problem. If you really want to hold them with your bare hands, washing your hands with soap and water immediately will help stop a reaction from happening.
