Question
I am trying to figure out what the roman god/goddess of history student's is.

Answer
Hello,

Actually such a ‘roman god/goddess‘ did not exist, though we can say that  Minerva, the Roman goddess of Wisdom and  Learning, can also be considered as a goddess of history.

On the contrary in Greek mythology there was the Muse of history, i.e. the goddess of history.

Her name was KLEIO (or Clio) who was just represented holding an open scroll or seated beside a chest of books.

She was one of the nine Muses (Greek,‘Mousai’) who originally were the goddesses of music, song, dance, but  also of knowledge and the source of inspiration to poets, while later they 'were also assigned specific artistic spheres: Kalliope, epic poetry; Kleio, history; Ourania, astronomy; Thaleia, comedy; Melpomene, tragedy; Polyhymnia, religious hymns; Erato, erotic poetry; Euterpe, lyric poetry; and Terpsikhore, choral song and dance'.

Have a nice day,
Maria
