Ancient/Classical History/Giza Pyramids

Question
I know you do not specialize in this...but maybe you can help since everyone is on vacation. My question is; How wide is the causeway leading to the Great Pyramid at Giza?

Answer
Hello,

As you say, Ancient Egypt is not my field of expertise.

Therefore the only thing I can tell you is that the causeway leading to the Great Pyramid at Giza was originally about 800 meters long [according to the Greek historian Herodotus (5th century BC ) who  tells us that the causeway was about a kilometer long],  and probably about 1 meter wide.

Best,
Maria
