Question
What would happen if a gladiator ran away ?

Answer
Hello,

If a gladiator had run away, he would have been hunted, of course, and if he had been caught, he would have been killed, as it happened to the gladiators who in 73 BC rose and ran away under Spartacus guidance.
In the beginning of 71 BC, after about two years of rising, these gladiators were defeated  in the battle at the river Silarus in southwestern Italy, where about 60.000 rebels were killed, while 6.000 were made prisoners and crucified all along the Appian Way from Capua to Rome.
