Ancient/Classical History - a few greek words

Expert: Maria - 6/24/2009

Question
hi Maria
I'm looking for some greek or latin concepts - written phonetically in the english alphabet, please - that mean things like "us", "everyone", "voice", "coming together", "the people", "unity", "vision". It's for the name of a project, and I will choose 1 or 2 short words from your list, that sound good together - like "pan ... something!" and are evocative of these themes in modern European languages. Perhaps just some of your favourite words. Thank you very much! Felicity

Answer
Hello,

I’m really sorry, but  I cannot  answer your question in this category which is ANCIENT/CLASSICAL HISTORY, not LATIN /GREEK or ANCIENT LANGUAGES.

In fact, if  I answered  this question  which has nothing to do with HISTORY, my answer would become a precedent for similar instances, though each category has its specific matter and then in this category you must ask only questions relating to Ancient/Classical HISTORY, not Latin or Ancient Greek language.

So, if you are looking for an ANCIENT GREEK  word /translation, go please to the links below  and ask me your question:

If you are looking for a LATIN word /translation, go please to the following links and ask me your question:
http://www.allexperts.com/el/2145-9/Latin/
http://www.allexperts.com/el/2210-9/Ancient-Languages/

Looking forward to receiving your question in the above appropriate categories, kind regards
Maria
