Question
Hi,

I would like to know how Caesar had achieved enough 'Dignitas' to enable him to contest the minor offices of the Cursus Honorum...

If possible, can you point me towards some primary sources?

Many Thanks in advance.

Answer
Easily done, there was no specific time limit....plus nepotism was not only practiced but also expected as part and parcel of the whole process.

There are no primary sources, or at least none that I know that can be accessed freely... however the following source will help you:

Expertise

Along with teaching classical Literature for over thirty-eight years, I have also taught history of the Greco-Roman cultures. History and Mythology are, in my opinion, inseparable; it is necessary to have a background in both to have a clear understanding of both ends of the spectrum, the myth and the fact.

Experience

Thirty-eight years of teaching.
