Ancient/Classical History/Greek Myth

Question
Hi there. I'm trying to remember the name of (I think) a Greek who supposedly appeared again in public after being thought dead, as well as the source for this myth.  I'm not referring to the Asclepius myth, but to a reference about one guy running into the dead man on the street one day.   I'm a bit embarrassed to be asking for help with this, since I had tons of courses in Greek and Roman history, but I just can't remember this one, and Google hasn't worked.  Any help appreciated.  :)

Answer
Hello Dan,

Have searched and re-searched and cannot find the person you mention.  Wish I was able to help you but this one has me stumped - not enough information to dig deeper.  If you have the whole storey let me know, can find it that way otherwise....

Expertise

Along with teaching classical Literature for over thirty-eight years, I have also taught history of the Greco-Roman cultures. History and Mythology are, in my opinion, inseparable; it is necessary to have a background in both to have a clear understanding of both ends of the spectrum, the myth and the fact.

Experience

Thirty-eight years of teaching.
