Thank You Maria for making your expertise available.  I teach Biblical Education to adults at our local church and am trying to gather material for our study of the New Testament Epistle to the Romans.  What was the place and role of the female in Roman Society during the last 100 years B.C.E?  What was the societal position on abortion, and was the practice of homosexuality between adult men and young boys between the ages of 12 to 15 more prevalent than between adult males?  Last, what was the difference between the slavery in Roman Society and the slavery that was practiced in England and the first 2oo years of American history?  Can you suggest any reference materials?
