Question
Appromametally how many miles of road did the Romans build?

Thanks!

Answer
Hello,

The Romans built over 53,000 miles (85,000 km) of paved roads throughout their empire, from Britain to Asia Minor(going from West to East), and from Germany to Northern Africa (going from North to South).
Although the Roman road system was originally built to facilitate the movement of troops throughout the empire, it was inevitably used for other purposes by civilians, of course.
