Question
I wanted to know where the trinity symbol cam from,  specifically the picture with three pointed elipsies connected by a circle. Would it be a proper symbol for the christian trinity? Thank you for your help!

Answer
The "Triquetra" is an early symbol of the Holy Trinity, of ancient middle eastern origin.  The three equal arcs express eternity in their continuous form, indivisibility in their interweaving, and their center is a triangle, ancient Trinity symbol. The circle, instead, represents eternity, because it is without beginning and without end.
