Question
Hi,

I am trying (badly) to translate the following phrase from English to Latin:

"We who are about to Rock Salute you"

It's for an engraving on a present for the guys who DJ'd at my wedding and I would be very grateful for your help as I'd really love to be able to surprise them.

Thank you kindly

Answer
Hi,

although this category ( ancient/classical history) refers to Ancient Greek and Roman History, not to Latin or Ancient languages, I've translated your phrase, but I'm obliged to give you an incomplete translation, as it's not clear what you mean when you say: “ Rock”.
So, you should explain its meaning so that I can translate it into Latin, unless this term is untranslatable.

Anyway here's the translation without the word “Rock”.

“Nos qui sumus ???? salutem dicimus vobis”.

Please note that:
We = NOS
who = QUI
are = SUMUS
about to Rock ???
Salute = SALUTEM DICIMUS
You= VOBIS

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Maria
