Question
how did the advent of gunpowder artillery affect the structure of garrisons and households up until the 16th century.
Please give citations for information both ancient and modern if possible. Your assistence would be greatly appreciated as i am finding it difficult to trawl my way through the volume of useless imformation on castles in order to find a balanced view on this subject.
