Sorry, but the triumvate (trinity) goes way further back than the birth of either Christianity or the Muslim reiligions, both of whom have adopted the idea.
The original idea of a tripartate stems from the Nordic religions and beliefs and are mainly based on the sea, earth and heavens(hence the triumvate),
These pre-date any Christian or Muslim ideas by some 40,000 years.
The number three is endemic to the universe and its structure and as it is divisible by only one, as far as I am concerned, is the number that the universe is biult on.
