whats the history on ancient greek fruit salad?

Hello,
there is no “ancient Greek fruit salad” as we know it today, at least!
In fact fruit salad, i.e. a variety of fresh, often tropical, fruits with sugar and lemon, just as we know it today , is a product of the mid-19th century.
