Question
...if there was a difference between BCE and CE. I know it may sound a tad oldd, but then I've heard these two terms used in different kind of contexts. Thank you very much~

Answer
Christina,

B.C., stands for "Before Christ,"   used to date events before the birth of Jesus.

A.D. is the abbreviation for the Latin phrase anno Domini, which means "in the year of our Lord," and is used for dates after Jesus's birth.

Today, not all archaeologists are Christians, therefore some archaeologists prefer to use the terms: Before the Common Era (B.C.E.) which means the same as B.C. and the Common Era (C.E.) which means the same as A.D. but have nothing to do with Christianity.

Expertise

Along with teaching classical Literature for over thirty-eight years, I have also taught history of the Greco-Roman cultures. History and Mythology are, in my opinion, inseparable; it is necessary to have a background in both to have a clear understanding of both ends of the spectrum, the myth and the fact.

Experience

Thirty-eight years of teaching.
