Ancient Languages/Which one?

QuestionHi I am a student about to start year 9 at a new school. For the past two years I have been learning Latin. At my new school they don't teach Latin but they have offered to get a distanced education program for me but they have also offered for me to be taught Ancient Greek by a tutor. Unfortunately I can only do one language and I am having trouble deciding which one would be better to do. I intend to work in engineering or architecture in the future.
AnswerHi Maddie,
Actually is not so easy to answer your question as both Latin and Ancient Greek could be helpful to you in your future.
Anyway I think that you could choose Latin just because for the past two years you have studied Latin and then you already have some knowledge of this language, while Ancient Greek could be much more difficult to learn.
On the other hand however your new school offers a Latin distanced education program only, while Ancient Greek provides you with a tutor who can supervise your work personally. In short, the choice is hard.
So, I’m sorry, but I cannot help you more.
Wishing you the best choice, I hope you have a good future.
