Question
I was wonering if you knew anu ancient for the word red

Answer
Hello,

The English adjective “red” translates as “ruber”, “rufus”, “rubicundus” in Latin, according to its meaning in a context, while in Ancient Greek it is “eruthrós” (transliteration), i.e. “ερυθρός “ (Ancient Greek letters).

All the above Latin/ancient Greek adjectives are in the nominative masculine singular and must be agreed in gender, case and number with the noun they refer to, as Latin and Ancient Greek are inflected languages.

Regards,
Maria
