QuestionCan you tell me how to say
"You mean so much to me in latin"?
Also how do you say
"I want to be more than just friends"?
thanks,
Michelle
AnswerHello,
Here are the translations you asked me:
-”Tu mihi plurimum es cordi "
( You mean so much to me)
-”Magis quam amici esse volo”
(I want to be more than just friends).
See below for learn more.
Best regards,

Note that:
-You = TU
-mean = CORDI (dative of COR, heart) ES (2nd.person sing., present of SUM, I am). In fact the verb “mean” must be translated as “ I have you at heart”.
-so much = PLURIMUM
-to me = MIHI (dative case. This is the so-called Double Dative in Latin.
-I want = VOLO
-to be = ESSE
- more = MAGIS
-than =QUAM
-just friends = AMICI (nominative plural of AMICUS). The adverb "just" is not necessary in Latin.
As you can see, Latin word order can be different from English as Latin is an inflected language where syntactical relationships are indicated by the endings of each term, not by the order of the words.
