Question
I am looking for the Latin word that would mean Survivor.  Used in the context, "I am a survivor."  Or a phrase that would mean the same.  Thank You

Answer
Hello,

The Latin word for “survivor” is “superstes” (nominative case, 3rd.declension).

So, in the context “I am a survivor" you must say as follows:

-“Superstes sum” .

Best regards,
Maria

Note that:

-I am = SUM

-a survivor = SUPERSTES ( predicate in the nominative case of this common noun which belongs to the  3rd.declension).

As you can see, Latin word order can be different from English. Latin  is in fact an inflected language where syntactical relationships are indicated by the endings of each term, not by the order of the words.
