Question
What is the ancient greek for the english word LOYALTY ?

Can you please provide the answer in english (latin) characters?  Thanks

Answer
Hello,

the ancient Greek word for LOYALTY is PISTIS (nominative case of a feminine noun belonging to the 3rd.declension).
Note that the I in 'pistis' is pronounced like the Y in 'play'.

Of course the word “pistis” is the transliteration into Latin alphabet we use still today.

In fact in ancient Greek letters we must write:
πίστις (pi-iota with the acute accent-sigma-tau-iota-sigma final).
