Question
hi, i just found this sentence off a book about quintus' life, can you translate it for me?

mater fleobat deosque orabat:' o dei , servate filium nostrum cura! o Quinte, bonus puer esto!diligenter  stude domum redi!'

Answer
Hello,

first of all here’s the correct Latin text you refer to:
“Mater flebat deosque orabat: ‘O dei, servate filium meum! O Flacce,  filium nostrum cura! O Quinte, bonus puer esto! Diligenter  stude et mox  domum redi’“.

It means: “The mother cried and prayed the gods: “O gods, save my son! O Flaccus, take care of our son! O Quintus, be a good boy! Study a lot and come back home soon!”

Though I believe this is a homework question I usually do not do, I've translated it, only because I think this is the first time you ask me.

Best,
Maria
