Question
i would you tell me what "wind" is in ancient  Greek

             thanks!!!

Answer
Hello,

The word “wind” translates in ancient Greek as “ánemos”.

See for example the English word “anemometer” which is just an instrument for measuring wind force and velocity and is composed by Greek “ánemos” (wind) plus “métron“ (measure ).

Best regards,
Maria

Note that in ancient Greek letters “ánemos” is written “άνεμος “ which is the nominative of a masculine noun belonging to the 2nd.declension.

Ancient Greek is in fact an inflected language where words change endings according to their role in a sentence.

Finally note that “ánemos” is a Latin transliteration, i.e. the Greek word written in Latin alphabet we use still today.
